Tuscarora's housekeeping cabins are located on Round Lake, just off the Gunflint Trail. There are no other resorts or private homes here... only the Superior National Forest. We fish Round Lake for walleye, small mouth bass, and northern pike. Trout fishermen portage to some of our neighboring lakes for brookies, rainbows and lake trout.

 

Other than fishing, we have a sandy beach for our swimmers, a good variety of hiking trails and wild blueberries and raspberries during berry-picking season. Located at the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, we have many routes suitable for day trips into the wilderness. If you don't have your own canoes or camping equipment, we have them available for rent by the day or week.

 

 

All of our cabins are located lakeside and have a heat source.  All cabins have full bathroom facilities and the kitchens have a refrigerator, range, dishes, utensils, pots and pans.  We provide sheets, blankets, pillows and towels are furnished as is firewood.  Cabin guests receive a discounted rate on canoes, boats & motors ($28 per day...$155 per week).   Rates and more cabin information are available in our brochure.

 

Surrounded by Superior National Forest and with direct access to the BWCA, you will vacation comfortably in the midst of the wilderness.

This 2 bedroom lakeside cabin with a deck has 2 queen sized beds, plus a queen Murphy Wall bed in the living room.  Open all year.  Well behaved pets welcome with special permission.

cabin 2

Cabin 2 is a rustic 2 bedroom cabin set apart from the others.  Each bedroom has a double bed.  2^nd bedroom also has a single bed.  Your sandy beach is 10 feet from your screen porch door. Open June-September.  Well behaved pets welcome with special permission.

lodge/retreat center

The Lodge has a very large kitchen and living room area, suitable for large group meetings.  The Lodge has 3 bedrooms and one full bath.  With a futon in the living room, the Lodge can sleep up to 8 people.  Our Lodge/Retreat is open all year.

Try a Tuscarora winter.  Our cozy cabins have wood stoves or fireplaces where you can hunker in after backcountry skiing from your door.  We also have snowshoes available, or you can drive 1 mile to connect with the Upper Gunflint Trail ski system.  We have real Minnesota winters here; plenty of snow, clear, crisp air....perfect.

 

 

Check in time 3:00 P.M.  Check out time 10:00 A.M.  Minimum summer reservation is three consecutive nights.  Guests are responsible for all nights reserved.  A $250 deposit is required to confirm your reservation.  Your deposit is applied to the last day of your reservation.  It will be refunded less 20% handling fee, if cancellation is received 60 days in advance of scheduled arrival, or if the cabin is booked for the time that you reserved it
